Here at Barkers, we consider ourselves pretty damn lucky to live just a stones throw away from the ocean. It's one of the reasons we've been proudly sponsoring LegaSea for over 5 years, with proceeds of the Barkers x LegaSea range going towards the work they're doing to restore the abundance of New Zealand's marine environment.

What Is The Kai Ika Project?

The Kai Ika Project is an initiative that collects previously discarded fish parts and see that they're redistributed to local communities. Through their collective efforts they encourage us to rethink the way we look at food, our relationship with the environment, and highlight the importance of communities in making change.

LegaSea Mission

LegaSea is an organisation campaigning for increased abundance in our inshore coastal fisheries by highlighting wasteful
and destructive bulk fishing practices for the benefit of all New Zealanders, standing up for the rights of every kiwi to enjoy healthy abundant sea life.
