Who are they?

An innovative company driven by excellence, their business is vertically integrated: this means they’ve been able to establish their own wool and cotton farms, as well as weaving, dying, printing and manufacturing - all supported by exceptional investments in technology. One of the largest textile manufacturers in China, they’re so successful that they’re listed on the Shanghai stock exchange.

What do they make?

These guys use their knowledge and skills of tailoring to craft our tailored suits, blazers and overcoats. We also rely on their expertise and craftsmanship for our Made To Measure suiting service; they know their stuff (so do we, and we only work with the best).

Why them?

To achieve their signature of premium quality suiting, their respect for skill, experience and tradition is matched by that for technology, innovation and streamlining. They have invested heavily in state of the art equipment, technological research and product innovation. Their factory has the most advanced textile dyeing equipment in the world, as well as seamless knitting technology fully executed by data. They also use some of the most advanced European spinning, weaving and dyeing equipment for both manufacturing, testing and quality control. As a vertically integrated operation (the kind we love working with) they have their own textile mill, dying house and laundry - they even own their own sheep station in Australia! It’s details like this that make vertically integrated suppliers like them so valuable, and why they are our first choice to work with.

To share their knowledge and innovation with others in China’s weaving and spinning industries, they have founded an incubation centre for research and development across technology, craftsmanship and production in order to meet the evolving needs of both domestic and international clothing brands.

What are their environmental and ethical standards?

Committed to consistent improvements of housing for their staff, they recently built a high-end staff residence, and provide a substantial housing benefit to outstanding workers. They provide financial support for the education of the younger generation, and provide a scholarships for those enrolled at key universities. Both current employees and retirees are given a free annual health check, and welfare benefits for their retirees span learning, fitness and recreation to foster well-being and security. Benefits are also provided to any families of their staff experience hardship or illness.

All factory workers are paid above both the minimum and living wage for the region and get paid extra for any overtime work. They also receive free accommodation, meals, and have access to collective bargaining.

Like all the suppliers we work with, they are child labour free. They run their own independent auditing process under the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) system, which focuses on compliance and improvements at every step of the supply chain, from factory to farm. They are also certified under the ISO Management Systems for 9001 Management Systems, 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and 18001 Health & Safety Management Systems.

On the environmental front, their factory utilises solar power and uses recycled water initiatives. They are also audited under the OEKO-TEX system which tests and certifies raw, semi-finished, and finished textiles, as well as all the little bits too, from buttons and zips to threads and labels.
